ANCIENT  HOMELAND,  SKYE

In my genealogy research, I had previously found that my MacAlister Clan originally began with Clan MacDonald... who were early Norsemen that laid claim to the Western Hebrides Islands of Scotland in the 1200's.... The early leader, Donald, "Lord of the Isles", settled in the wild and rugged lands on the western coastlines... this area being the "Sound of Sleat"... my journey took me thru this area early in the morning where a misty morning later gave way to sunlight glistening on the waters of the Sound.  I felt right at home here!  I wonder if that castle there could have been my earliest home!!!   Naaahhhhh!
