Bluebonnet time in Texas falls between March and April of every year.  The fields from South Texas to the Hill Country and beyond are aglow with the annual migration Northwards of the Texas State Flower.  One of the best places to see this spectacular show is on the "Willow City Loop", a few miles North of Fredericksburg, Texas.

This particular scene was found along the Loop and the mountain in the distance is named "Bell Mountain".   It was nearing sunset and the colors were truly incredible.  I think I've captured the evening "glow" in this painting.  I hope you like it.   It is currently in Fredericksburg Gallery (see the Links page) in Fredericksburg, Texas.
